TOTAL SATISFACTION THROUGH TOTAL TRANSFORMATION
Today I want
to discuss the concept of change that involves the entire person. A
human being is composed of many parts that constitute a body. It is this
body which most of us recognize as a person.
However, it is important to recognize that this body has
many parts that play different roles in order for a single task to be
accomplished. As PACRO, we have been advocating for change in order to
serve our clients better. It is a noble thing to do, but I do not know
whether we realize what is involved in that change process.
Despite having many parts, the human being is more
influenced and controlled by three major organs, namely, the mind (which
is also referred to as the soul), the heart that is usually referred to
as the spirit or the dwelling of the spirit and shell called the body.
In order for a person to change, these three parts must be
transformed, work in agreement and compliment each other at all times in
order for the change process to succeed. For instance, a person might be
of sound mind and in good spirit, but if the body is impaired it will be
virtually impossible to perform manual work. It is also equally right
that if the same person was physically fit and has sound mind but is low
in spirit, he will not achieve much.
The moral aspect of
this lesson is that we MUST seek to satisfy our clients, both internal
and external, in totality by ensuring that we impact them physically,
spiritually and emotionally in whatever service we have to provide.
It is also important to realize that a person has three
sensitive parts to deal with that might affect his or her performance.
The soul or mind may run amok, the spirit or heart may grieve and the
body may be hurt thereby preventing the desired change to occur.
What we say and do must always aim at building and not
destroying the well being of the soul, or grieving the spirit or hurting
the feeling of others. |
